Hey there!
I have seen this tag floating about and couldn't help doing it! It has definitely helped me get into the Christmas spirit (she says whilst watching a ridiculously corny Christmas film!)
What is your favourite Christmas movie(s)?
I don't particularly have a favourite Christmas film, I just love watching the completely unknown films on Christmas 24. There have been some absolutely brilliant films this and last year that I have enjoyed so much! I do love Love Actually (actually!), I need to watch it this Christmas.
Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
I tend to have Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve with my sister, brother etc and we open presents from each other on Christmas Eve. I then open my presents from my parents on Christmas Day in the morning followed by plenty of chocolate. It's nice to just get a few bits and pieces on Christmas Eve so I can actually fall asleep (I get really excited okay?)
Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
The one memory that sticks out for me is going out for a Christmas meal with some of the girls. We went to our local carvery and they also had curry so I literally got a roast dinner and curry. It was one of the best nights out - there were about 15 of us and I remember my mascara streaming down my face so it must have been a good evening!
Favourite festive food?
It is 100% pigs in blankets. I look forward to them ALL year. They always seem to get burnt though...let's hope they don't this year!
Favourite Christmas gift?
I don't think I could say I have had A favourite Christmas gift. Of course I always appreciate when I get a new phone etc. but some of the little presents that you didn't even think you wanted that become my favourites. Last year my Mum got me a Benefit nude eye palette which I wear to death and the year before she searched everywhere to find a bottle of my favourite discontinued perfume. I definitely appreciated that present a lot!
Favourite Christmas scent?
I just like the smell of Christmassy candles (whichever my mum decides to pick up) and the various room sprays she gets. I do love gingerbread though - I can never say no to making gingerbread!
Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Usually my brother and sister come over and we have Christmas dinner, exchange presents and usually watch a few films. It means Christmas Day is usually really chilled - just presents, tv and plenty of food!
As a kid, what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) present you asked for but never received?
I think it was a tree house. I always wanted a tree house but it was the one thing I never got. Thinking about it, I very much doubt I'd actually make it up to the tree house but hey - a girl can wish can't she?
What's the best part about Christmas for you?
I think for me, it's all about spending a lot more time with family. I spend very little time with my family when I'm at uni (especially this year with me being in Canada and all) and it's just lovely to spend some time with them.
I nominate anyone to do this tag - if you want to do it, go for it!
What are your favourite things about Christmas - let me know!
