LIFESTYLE // Pinterest is seriously interior goals

Tuesday, 31 May 2016

Hey there!
I'm going to come right out and say it - I'm an idiot. I have a list as long as my arm of posts I need to take photos for and I completely forgot to take it home. I know right. I apologise for this week's posts not being with my own photos but I'd rather post other photos than nothing at all.

Anyway, since I have finished my degree I have spent a crazy amount of time on Pinterest. The thought of moving to a new city has gotten me super excited about how to decorate my new room and I've gone just a little overboard with my interiors pin board. On my list for my new room is going to be pink, grey, blue or monochrome bedding and a desk to die for. Pinterest has definitely given me a lot of inspiration recently so I thought I'd share some of it with you guys!

I am in love with earthy tones right now, especially involving pink, cream and grey. I'm on the hunt for good quality, plain bedding next that I can mix and match so it doesn't matter too much if I completely forget to wash my pillowcases (it only happened once okay). However, I cannot say no to a bit of cream and navy. It'll forever be one of my favourite combos.

More white, grey, pink and blue. White furniture and copper detailing are also catching my eye now. It's just a match made in heaven.

With me hopefully starting a PhD in October (everything that I could possibly cross is crossed right now), a good desk is seriously important to me. This past year my uni desk was too small and flimsy with the World's most uncomfortable chair. Next year that is not going to float and so I have been avidly looking at desks like my life depended on it. Again, I'm all about the white furniture but also like plenty of books, inspirational quotes and lights. If I'm going to be sitting at my desk all weekend it might as well be pretty right.
How amazing is that cork board wall? Whilst I wont be able to do that in rented accommodation but as soon as I buy my own house that will happen. However, the tassel garland and pin board with Instax photos is much more achievable and equally as cute.

So these are just a few photos from my interiors Pinterest board. Are you on Pinterest? Why not check out some of my other boards which are a beautiful way to waste my time.

  5. While I don't use Pinterest for any interior decorating, my sister does! And she is OBSESSED. Seriously, she never stops talking about her perfect room! Haha! Personally, I like my room simple and minimalist. Because if not, everything would be everywhere! Haha!

    1. It's a new thing for me but I am obsessed too! I like minimalist looks and horrifically cluttered looks too. It's such a pain!
