BEAUTY // Benefit Goodies a Go-Go

Thursday 1 January 2015

Hello there!
Today I have one of the most gorgeous eye palettes I have ever owned. My Mum has gotten into the habit of buying me a new Benefit gift for Christmas every year and I love it! I really like Benefit eyeshadows and think they are entirely underrated. This year I was lucky enough to receive this palette and I absolutely love it!

The palette includes a trial size of the Stay Don't Stray eyeshadow primer (which is a must have before applying eyeshadow) and a travel version the They're Real mascara too. From what I have seen so far Stay Don't Stray seems like a pretty good primer and They're Real has really grown on me. I used to absolutely hate it - I mean complete hatred - but I have found that by layering it on top of another mascara I get the amazing length with none of the clumping. Brilliant!

The four shades are quite warm toned and blend together really well. Call My Buff is a pale, matte beige which pairs really well with resident cold Gilt-y Pleasure. You can make the look set for day or night by either using either Thanks a Latte, a cool toned brown, or the much darker Kiss Me, I'm Tipsy which has a slight red tone to it. All the shades blend and compliment each other beautifully. I have been wearing this non-stop!

Overall, I absolutely love this palette. It has beautiful colours which are buttery and blend together well. It would have helped to have an eyeshadow brush (I did have to go out and buy myself one!) but I can overlook that due to the beauty of these shimmery shades.

It doesn't appear to be on sale online but it may be worth popping into your local Debenhams store and seeing if it's still in stock (which it wasn't in mine!)

Have you tried this palette? Do you love Benefit eyeshadows or other products? Let me know!

  3. What a cute little kit! I've never really tried Benefit before (mostly just 'cause my hometown doesn't have a Sephora so it's hard to get my hands on), but this looks like a nice starter pack to see if I'm into them.

    1. I think these little starter packs are a really brilliant way actually. I didn't particularly like Benefit before I got my first one of these last year - it all seemed so pricy and the foundation was never the right colour for me. These are such a good price though and definitely worth a try.

  4. ooh lovely colours, really nice shades. I love the Benefit gift sets but wish they came in better packaging, or they all came out so you could chuck the box otherwise it just takes up too much space!

    1. I know exactly what you mean! The Jet Set one is gorgeous but it (along with this one) is currently at home due to the bulky packaging. I'm going to try and get them out and put them into a quad though!

  5. I haven't seen this set before but it looks so nice, I really need to invest in an eyeshadow palette myself. I'll definitely keep an eye out for it! I personally really love the mascara as well, it's been my favourite for the past few years now :)
