FASHION // Purse Wishlist: The Designer Edit

Friday 10 July 2015

Hey!
If you have been catching up on Instagram, you'd have seen that I have treated myself to a new bag. I FINALLY have a Cambridge Satchel Company satchel in my life. I know right - I'm so happy right now. However, now I have a new bag I would really like a new purse. Unfortunately, I am one of those people who likes a designer purse. I'm sorry, but a £5 Primark purse (or £20 River Island purse) will not work on me anymore. I have had my DKNY purse now for 4 years and it is still going strong.  There is a little bit of wear on the zipper pull and logo but apart from that it still looks brand new. I think that's what I love about it most - it's old but it's still working it like it's the new girl on the block (and that it is not!)

I thought I'd start with some purses that are completely out of my price range. By that, I mean these purses cost more than the bag! I have been a huge Aspinal of London for a long time but they are just a little bit (okay a lot) out of my price range. My bag is a gorgeous shade of oxblood which means pretty much any colour will work with it. I love the Brook Street Purse Wallet in Navy but it comes in  5 other styles I also love. Another Aspinal purse I love is the London Purse. It has a bright red lining and a flap to close. It's just really unusual but so classic.

I have wanted a Mulberry bag/purse combo since I was about 15 and I still look at their new seasons thinking 'someday'. Yes, we are still at the some day point but you have got to admit that this oxblood Envelope wallet is just gorgeous! I love the envelope style and it matches my bag. I know, could it be more perfect?

I thought I'd have a look at the sales in hopes that I would find a designer purse actually in my price range. This Kate Spade Cedar Street Nisha pick is at the very top of my budget but it's seriously nice. It's very similar to the style I currently have apart from the zip only being 2/3 of the way around. That's a very different look and I have not seen it before - that's for sure. I'd go and buy that purse right now if it wasn't for this pale pink Radley purse. I know what you're thinking - it's identical! I am completely serious here - the only difference is the name and the colour! Even more the Belgrave Large Zip Matinee is half the price but is a very summery colour. Do I particularly want a summer purse? Not really but it's such a reasonable price it hurts! It does come in tan though and that is very tempting.

Last, but not least, is this Petrol coloured Saffiano Leather Zip Around Wallet from DKNY. This is the updated style of my current purse but in a different colour. I would honestly go for this style again due to it being so long lasting and well wearing. It's not on sale but it's cheaper than the Kate Spade purse I love, and so it's rather tempting. I think it would be nice to go for something different though. New bag, new me and all.

So that's it! Are you a designer lover on a minuscule budget? How do you cope? Let me know!
