OOTD // You don't own worries or a chest full of heartache

Hello!
Yes, I know. This is my first outfit post in what feels like forever! I have very kindly asked Sam to take photos for me once a week so hopefully these will become more frequent! What's the point in dressing up for 3 hours worth of lectures at 8am if no-one apart from a few chemistry students are going to see it?

Hello there!
Can you believe we are already approaching the end of week 4 and I haven't posted a study abroad update yet? Can I get a 'that's crazy yo' (please and thank you). This has been the most hectic few weeks full of nights out, lab reports and hockey. Do you know what? I don't think I'd have it any other way.

Hello my lovelies!
You can probably tell from my lack of posting about it, but I didn't set any New Year Resolutions this year. I always make them and never actually make them happen. Instead, I have a few goals that I am attempting to achieve every day, hoping that a lack of labelling them will reduce the pressure a bit more.
This post is based on something a little different: Take Back What's Yours.

Hello!
Just before Christmas I treated myself to my first Essie polish. I had been put off my the hefty price (considering the colours are nice but not that unique) but I was very pleasantly surprised. It's a lovely polish!

Hello my lovelies!
I finally moved back to Van and my blank white walls were taunting me. It's hard enough having bedding you don't like but blank walls too? It's too much. I went on an impulse and printed lots of photos in my local Staples store (which is cheaper than other photo places if you want 5 x 7 only!) and this is the result so far. I have a lot of Instagram photos waiting to be printed so expect Phase 2 to follow soon!

Aloha!
With all this spare time I have had (which should have been spent preparing for this upcoming semester) I have spent a lot more time on Pinterest. I could spend hours upon hours just scrolling through all the pretty images (and have done this past few weeks!) and thought I'd just post a few of my favourite pins from the past few weeks.
2015 is all about positivity for me - it's time for nothing but positive thoughts.

Hello my lovelies!
Yes, that's right. I finally got my paws on a Naked palette. This has been a long time coming and after the most confusing few days before Christmas (of which my trust in Becky was at an all time low - no I did not believe her when she said that every store in Lakeside had sold out of the Naked palettes) I finally got my paws on this beauty. The girls were super lovely and picked this up for me for my 21st and I am so happy they did. This palette is just beautiful!

Hey there!
For those of us at university, semester 2 has just begun. I'm sure we all feel like it means you get a fresh new start and can take control of your own learning. The Winter break is soon to be a long lost memory but that's okay because you just really miss learning right?

So, to celebrate, I thought I'd compile a list of thoughts that may accompany the start of Semester 2.

Hello there!
I have got a new mantra in which if I want to do something, I'm going to do it (within reason). No more putting it off, I'm just going to go out and do it. I know that sounds fantastic in theory, but going for a 2 hour hike (okay hour and a half) in North Van whilst being incredibly jet lagged possibly wasn't my most intelligent choice. I had been up since 5am and it was raining all day and now I feel positively awful! I'm currently in bed watching Miranda's 'What I call - Live' show feeling sorry for myself. What a good way to start 2015!
It may have been raining, so I couldn't get my DSLR out, but I cheekily took a few snaps on my iPhone which turned out pretty fabulously! I can't wait to head over again once the weather is a bit nicer (and I'm actually wearing hiking boots - rookie mistake).

Hello!
Recently my self restraint when it comes to shopping has been appalling. I spent a ridiculous amount of money Downtown before I flew home and even ended up buying a new lipstick in Duty Free before my flight home and I never do that! However at $19 total, equalling to approximately £10.50, I couldn't help myself picking up a new MAC lipstick. The sales assistant complimented my nails and asked if I had gotten them done professionally. Man, sales assistants know how to get me to get my card out! I need to work on that.

Hello!
I'm currently sitting at the airport with an americano waiting for my flight back to Canada! After being a little confused by the saucer my coffee came on, I thought I'd best to a blog post exclaiming HAPPY NEW YEAR, or at least something like that.
I had a lovely evening last night seeing all of my friends for the last time in a few months whilst drinking my Dad's homemade wine (once I got it open that is - plastic corks are the devil!)
So basically, I hope you all have a fantastic New Year! Grab a hold of 2015 and make the most of it. I know I will.
UBC won't know what hit them (other than a very ambitious Brit who probably thinks she is much better than she actually is)

BEAUTY // Benefit Goodies a Go-Go
Hello there!
Today I have one of the most gorgeous eye palettes I have ever owned. My Mum has gotten into the habit of buying me a new Benefit gift for Christmas every year and I love it! I really like Benefit eyeshadows and think they are entirely underrated. This year I was lucky enough to receive this palette and I absolutely love it!
