WISHLIST // Pre-Vancouver

Wednesday, 30 July 2014

Hello!
I cannot believe I move to Vancouver in just over a month. It's crazy. I don't even know how this has happened but I am rolling with it.
Anyway, I need to stop shopping because I cannot take anything with me but I have no idea what the Canadian shopping scene is like. I mean, come on - how am I going to last without River Island, Primark and Dorothy Perkins?!
I have compiled a few bits and pieces that I want right now which are potentially packable (potentially being the word).

ASOS Leather Travel Wallet: This is the first time I will be travelling on a plane completely on my own. I'll need to make sure I have all of my visa documents, my passport, money, flight tickets etc. etc. and I would love a nice wallet to keep them all in. I really, really, really want an Aspinal of London one but they are so expensive and I really do not have the money for that. The Aspinal of London bags are stunning and I want one so bad but that isn't quite possible on a student budget (boo!).

Topshop lipstick in The Damned: I have wanted a Topshop lipstick for such a long time but there is so much choice I don't even know where to start. I know they are going to be slightly cheaper here in the UK so I may pick one up before I go. I really like this colour from the picture on the website but who knows what it'll look like on. If you have any recommendations please let me know!

Next silver pointed loafers: How amazing are those shoes? I fell in love with them in store and just want them so much. I feel like Noel Fielding when I wear them but I am not sure they'll be that appropriate. I'd probably scare potential course mates away (not good).

Topshop croc leather luggage bag: I saw this bag in store and it is so gorgeous. It isn't really the style of hand luggage I want (it'll be so heavy with a laptop in it!) but it's gorgeous and I want it.

H&M wide jumper in a wool blend: How luxe is this jumper? It may be hot when I arrive but it will get cold and this jumper will look gorgeous with jeans, trousers, leggings, disco pants, anything! I know there is an H&M in Vancouver so I may have to pick it up once I get there and pray the price isn't inflated too much and they have it in my size!

Dorothy Perkins silver crinkle midi skirt: I saw this skirt in store and it is just wow. I want a midi skirt but I would want to wear this as a day skirt and I don't think others will find it socially acceptable. It is only £10 though and with free delivery it is so tempting!

Simply Be strawberry zip detail riding boot: I love riding boots in the winter. I had Italian leather ones that stretched out and now I have my Barbour jacket I want a new pair of riding boots to go with it. These are quite good value at £40 and have fur lining so will keep  my feet nice and toasty during  my walk to the chemistry building for an 8am lecture!

River Island black herringbone winged tote bag: I love winged totes and this one looks huge! I need a big bag for uni so an A4 notebook, pencil case, diary, phone and my tablet fit in it (and lunch!) and this one looks like a good size. At £45 it isn't a ridiculous price either - brilliant!

It Luggage large spinner tapestry case: With two suitcases and hand luggage to carry, it is not going to be easy. I love the tapestry material of this case and the 4 wheels but it is mega pricey. I absolutely love lots of cases in the It Luggage range available through Bags etc. but this is 100% my fave. It's so cute - I want the whole set!

Surely I can fit all of this, including half of my wardrobe and 5 pairs of shoes into that one suitcase right? I think I may need to do some critical analysis of my wardrobe and cut out half of the stuff I want to take. Have you got any packing tips? I think I'm going to need them!

    1. I have no idea how I am going to cope! I do hope so - if all else fails I'll shop nowhere but H&M. Go you for moving here for uni - one is year something but three is something else!

  5. It's neat because I am moving to Ireland at the end of this month, so I don't know how I am going to do without my microwave popcorn, endless amounts of snow & syrup!! You will enjoy it here, but you might find it a little bit less laid back because I found Europe to be more relaxed!

    1. Ah, good luck with that! It still does snow in Ireland (but not always crazily!) and I'm sure they have microwaveable popcorn. Try Tescos and any euro stores :)
Ah, what do you mean by less laid back? Do I need to prepare? haha
