Hey!
Is it just me, or is it seriously easy to spend hours upon hours going through the internet reading articles? I should probably be reading scientific journals. Instead I'm reading articles with the word science in the title. That's close enough right?
A few have really caught my eye in the past few days so I'd thought I'd share them. It's always a good day when you are told that apparently eating junk food after working out is good for you, am I right?

You do NOT need to tell me twice. Apparently it doesn't actually matter what food you eat post-workout so if you want that chocolate or double cheeseburger, you can apparently go for it! Personally I wouldn't want to eat the calories I had just spent an hour slaving at burning (unless it's cake maybe) but if it gets my glycogen synthesis initiated who am I to say no?
Now I come to think about it, the most successful people I personally know DO wear crazy socks. I was at my most confident and successful when I wore odd socks/shoes and do feel a bit sassier when I have my squirrel socks on. I must say I think this is actually quite true and now am going to buy lots of crazy socks to improve my chances of getting a job. Well, filling in applications might help too.
Well if diet and exercise aren't working this may have to be the next step. A tall, blonde hockey player who wears checked shirts is preferred.
Okay...they don't have to be blonde.
1. How has it been 12 years since School of Rock was released?
2. How much has everyone changed? Just mind blown okay. Mind blown.
Can I get a hell yeah!? This has given me the encouragement I need to become even sassier once I begin back at university in September. I just want to be successful okay?
I found this article really interesting. Sure, I didn't exactly go backpacking and hitch hiking but I did spend a year abroad and went on a little trip across the States. I'd really like to think that I have changed even the smallest bit, by my time abroad. Even if it's just having the confidence to talk to more people or trust my own instinct, that's something that would have made that time so worth it.
So these were the articles that have caught my eye this past week. Do you like this sort of post and want to see more of them (not just articles but all sorts?) Let me know!
I wouldnt want to eat a cheesburger after working out i would feel so bad, but you cant argue with science haha great read.

Really interesting round up of articles :) I love the "where are they now" or "what do they look like now" kind of articles of childhood shows! xx

ReplyDeleteI'd say falling in love makes you gain weight, because you do lots of things related to food when you're in a relationship and you become more relaxed. I also feel pretty great when I'm wearing snazzy socks, in fact half of my socks are christmas themed I think!

Yeah, that's what other friends have said! I think had I been in Canada I'd have maybe lost weight because everyone is all LET'S GO HIKE TODAY and i'm like vhfvfdovjdspv. I'd rather be in bed.
