Hello there!
Whilst I'm trying to leave uploading my photos from this trip until after it's over (they'll need editing and I do have my Masters research report to do...priorities) I couldn't help but upload these photos. I've spent the past week in Perth, gotten up to lots of cool stuff and seen lots of beautiful things. I even bumped into one of my friends from secondary school/sixth form which is completely insane!
Anyway, last Saturday my family and I decided to drive into Perth itself and see the city. If you ever get the chance to visit Perth you have to go to Kings Park and Botanical Gardens. The views of the city are to die for and your parking is free whilst you're there! We took in the landscape, had a walk around and found a treetop walkway. There is so much to do in the park, but you'll want your walking shoes - that's for sure.
Now to explain the title of this post, this entire week it has been seriously windy. I'm not kidding, I'm almost being blown off my feet on an hourly basis. I was paddle boarding and spent more time in the water than on the board because every time I stood up a massive wave/blast of wind would just push me off the board. I don't know if this is normal or not, but it's rather frustrating! In order to cope, I've had to have my hair up like 99% of the time. I'm pretty sure that you can see how windy it is just by how much my hair is absolutely everywhere. I couldn't even imagine what would have happened had I still had my fringe!
Whilst it has been windy, as soon as the wind stops it is absolutely boiling and keeping cool is a priority. My Ray Bans have been glued to my face and this gorgeous skirt from Boohoo* (similar here) kept me wonderfully cool thanks to the thigh high slits at the front. The pattern is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for summery weather. It's also ridiculously comfortable - also a plus in hot weather.
So I'm going to get back to sunbathing and my report! If I don't do a post closer to Christmas (eeeek! It's so close!) I hope you guys reading this have a super lovely holiday full of fun, family and hot drinks (man, I'd kill for an eggnog latte right now!) Seriously though - I hope you have a fantastic end to the year. You deserve it!
