A few days ago I finally had my 21st Birthday party back home. Yes, I celebrated thoroughly back in Van but it was lovely to see my friends (both from home and uni) and I had such a lovely time. I'll post a few photos but I do not look very sober what-so-ever (but considering it was my 21st I think that's allowed right?)
This is more a post about my birthday cake! My mum decorates cakes and she really outdid herself this time. We had a LOT of disagreements over me wanting buttercream and she hates buttercream so I ended up with a fondant cake but it still looked gorgeous. I even put my Royal Albert tea cup and saucer* on top for the finishing touch.
Yes, she made the bunting and everything! It is super duper tasty and if you want a cake in the South Essex area I'd be happy to send through some contact info (although she may not appreciate that - she does have a lot of cakes to make this January hehe!)
Now, for a few pictures of the evening (be warned....)
Ignore the silly face. My playsuit is this absolutely gorgeous velvet plunge one from ASOS which I craftily safety pinned because any girl with boobs cannot do a super deep plunge when it's about 3 degrees outside. I just paired it with my trusty Topshop wedges (super duper old) and a smokey eye created from my L'Oreal palette in Velours Noir which is super pigmented and buttery and absolute dream to apply.
I really wish I had taken more photos but the ones I do have are absolutely beautiful! It was so great to see everyone and have a catch up. Why can't they all just come back to Canada with me?!
Your mum is so talented! The cake looks unbelievably delish, has the cutest detailing! Hope you had a lovely birthday hun and enjoyed yourself :)
